DIY Earrings

DIY Projects

One day when I was in Hobby Lobby these adhesive gem stones caught my eye while I was in the scrapbook section. They reminded me of a pair of earrings I had once bought from a vendor event. They had a few different styles to pick from. Some packs contained 24 pieces which gives you 12 pairs of earrings for around $3.99. I caught mine on sale for 50% off making them $1.99 a pack. Check out the different styles I found below.

They can also be found on hobby lobby site right here .

I then walked over to the jewelry section to see what they had for making your own earrings. I found these 8mm flat pad earring posts that came with the clutch (back of earring). The package contained 60 sets of nickel free earring posts. Check them out below! You can also find them here at Hobby Lobby or Amazon has them available with more quantity right here.

Using some E600 industrial strength adhesive glue, I applied some to the flat pad post. You can find this on amazon here.

I then took a gemstone and centered it onto the flat pad post.

I kept the gemstone side down with the post of the earring sticking up to dry. I allowed them to dry 24-48 hours before moving them.

This was such a fun and very in expensive way to make a quick, easy pair of earrings. I have worn mine in and out of the shower (which i really don’t recommend) and they are still holding strong!

If you decide to make your own please share them in the comments below!!
